ARTORIA ยท ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION
Delete your account
Last updated:
You can request deletion of your Artoria account and its associated personal data here. You do not need to sign in, reinstall the app or have an active membership.
Want to keep your account? Request deletion of specific personal data.
How to request deletion
- Email membership@artoriasociety.com, preferably from the email address registered with your Artoria account.
- Use the subject Artoria account deletion and include the account email address and a request to delete your account and associated data. Never send your password, payment card details or sign-in codes.
- Our team will verify the request, explain any information that must be retained, and confirm when deletion is complete. If you no longer have access to your registered email, contact us so we can help verify your identity.
Request account deletion by email
If this link does not open an email app, send the request directly to the address above. You can submit your request even if your subscription is still active.
We respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving your request. If a legally permitted extension is necessary, we will explain the reason and the expected response date within that first month.
What is deleted
Following a verified request, we delete or anonymise the personal data associated with your account, subject to the limited retention described below. This includes, where applicable:
- your sign-in account, name, email address and profile photographs;
- your Society application, drafts and membership profile;
- account-linked preferences, activity and saved content held by Artoria;
- your Society messages and uploaded media, connections, personal plans and participation records;
- account-linked support reports and their attachments.
Shared conversations and events may remain for other members. Your messages are removed or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder; other members' own content is not deleted. Membership access is closed and Artoria membership passes are revoked.
Files saved separately on your own device or by another user are not removed by account deletion. Uninstalling Artoria alone does not delete your account.
Delete specific data and keep your account
You can request removal of specific personal data from Artoria without deleting your account, for example your optional profile photograph, Society messages, uploaded media or personal plans.
- Email membership@artoriasociety.com, preferably from the email address registered with your Artoria account.
- Use the subject Artoria data deletion. Include your account email, identify the data you want removed, and state that you want to keep your account.
- Our team will verify your identity and confirm what is removed. We respond within one month; if a legally permitted extension or retention exception applies, we explain the reason and applicable period in our response.
Request data deletion by email
You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app to send this request. If the email link does not open an email app, send your request directly to the address above.
Requested data is deleted or anonymised once the request is verified, except for information subject to the legal retention periods below. Data you have not requested to remove, including the sign-in email and account identifier needed to maintain your account, remains subject to our Privacy Policy retention rules.
You can also delete your own Society messages and personal plans directly in the app, without deleting your account. Shared conversations and other members' own content remain.
What may be retained, and for how long
- Deletion audit: a limited record of the deletion, containing a pseudonymous identifier, its status and dates, is retained for 730 days for security and accountability. It does not contain your profile photograph or message content.
- Temporary deletion protection: a limited account identifier and deletion lock are retained for 7 days to prevent interrupted operations from restoring deleted data.
- Accounting records: invoices and supporting accounting documents, where applicable, are retained for the statutory period. Under Romanian accounting law, this is generally 5 years starting on 1 July of the year after the relevant financial year ended.
- Specific legal holds: records necessary for an ongoing dispute, fraud investigation or legal obligation may be retained until that matter is resolved and any applicable legal retention period ends. If this applies to your request, we explain the categories, reason and applicable period in our response.
Retained information is restricted to its stated purpose and is deleted or anonymised when the applicable retention period ends. Independent payment providers may keep their own transaction records under their policies and legal obligations.
Subscriptions and other data requests
Deleting an Artoria account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel recurring billing in your store's subscription settings to prevent further charges. For a membership paid through the Artoria website, contact our team for cancellation assistance.
